#73: Small and Simple Acts of Self-Care

Don't forget to take care of you.

Taking a shower has always been on the list of things that I just need to get over with. I don't hate it, but I don't love it either. It's like a software update—I'm not thrilled about it but I'll still do it because I have to.

But lately, I've been looking forward to it.

I've started a ritual where I dry brush my body every other day, I give my scalp a massage (I bought a cute scalp massager that I use to apply and spread my shampoo), and apply hair oils. Instead of rushing through my skincare, I also savor the feeling of the cleanser, the creams, the products on my face.

From the outside, I may not look different. But I do feel different—I feel lighter and happier because of the way I've been treating myself to these tiny acts of self-care.

How can you incorporate little joys like these into your day?
